What does 1st mean in the comments section of a blog?

In the beginning people liked being the first comment (and 비아그라 구매 the most visible).

After a while it became a competition like to see who can be the first to add a comment on a new item published. It can be a challenge especially on news worthy items that gets lots of traffic.
